Mazhar-ud-Deen, General Manager Retail of Shell Pakistan was also present at the event with Shell staff. He congratulated the retailer of the site, Mohammad Azam and noted, “Shell has been the pioneer in bringing international standards of fuel retailing to Pakistan. We have some of the highest customer preference ratings among all of our competitors and we continue to invest in our fuel station network across the country. The investment in new sites as well as improving standards at the existing network requires the support of our business partners including the Government, and we are working closely with stakeholders in the sector to advocate for an upward revision in fuel margins which at present, are some of the lowest in the region”.

Its network of retail fueling stations is the second largest in the country and a 15% share in the white-oils market. Shell Pakistan remains at the helm of industry-wide efforts to advocate for world-class technical standards for the oil marketing sector in Pakistan and to assist the Government in deregulating the sector.
