Shell unveils newest fuelling station in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA, September 30, 2013: Shell Pakistan opened its newest fuelling station last week as part of ongoing plans to extend its network of stations and ensure fuelling services are accessible across the country. Omar Sheikh, Chairman & MD Shell Pakistan inaugurated the new GIFT Filling Station which is located near Lohianwala bypass on Sialkot Road, at the Gujranwala city exit. This station will cater to the needs of local residents, government offices, schools and universities in Gujranwala as well as commuters travelling between Sialkot and Gujranwala.
“Shell believes that by putting our customers first, expanding into new markets and working with the Government on long term solutions to Pakistan’s energy challenges, we can continue meet the country’s growing needs in a responsible fashion. As one of the oldest multinationals in Pakistan, Shell continues to invest in bringing the latest international standards and customer service initiatives to meet the growing customer needs,” said Omar Sheikh at the event.
Mazhar-ud-Deen, General Manager Retail of Shell Pakistan was also present at the event with Shell staff. He congratulated the retailer of the site, Mohammad Azam and noted, “Shell has been the pioneer in bringing international standards of fuel retailing to Pakistan. We have some of the highest customer preference ratings among all of our competitors and we continue to invest in our fuel station network across the country. The investment in new sites as well as improving standards at the existing network requires the support of our business partners including the Government, and we are working closely with stakeholders in the sector to advocate for an upward revision in fuel margins which at present, are some of the lowest in the region”.
