Building Road Safety in our Youth

Shell has always placed great importance on the health, safety and environment aspect of the society it does business in. Safety is one of our top priorities, and we base our policies on the belief that all accidents are preventable. The ‘Shell Happy Roads Programme’ is a road safety programme aimed at teaching 7 to12 year old children the rules of the road, as well as shaping the skills and habits necessary to stay safe. So far, over 23,000 children in more than 80 private and public schools have been given this training.
Neighbourhood Beautification

Shell has always supported the community in which it operates in. A good example is the Neighborhood Beautification project in which Shell upgraded the road infrastructure, lighting, landscape, drainage, shrubbery and green space around Shell House. Shell also inaugurated a new bus stop for residents and installed road safety messages to keep our community safe.
Supporting our heritage

At Shell Pakistan, heritage is an important area of focus within our social investment programme. For this very reason, the company has undertaken major responsibilities to conserve and reinstate many historical monuments of Pakistan. Among these projects are the Mohatta Palace, The Rohtas Fort and most recently the Bibi Jawandi tomb in Uch.
